Is Lady Gaga Coming To Fortnite? Here’s Why Fans Online Think So

The leaks keep coming & we love it.

Earlier this week, a leak revealed that Fortnite was adding its first-ever trans character, Dreamer, as part of its September Rainbow Royale event. Today, a new leak has players thinking Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga, is also headed to the popular battle royale game.

According to Fortnite leaker FNLeaksAndInfo, a new collaboration emote called “Jug Band” is coming, reports Gayming Magazine. What does that have to do with Gaga? Well, those listening to it have pointed out that it sounds very familiar; It seems to be a cover of Gaga’s “Poker Face.”

FNLeaksAndInfo posted a clip of the audio declaring “it is Lady Gaga,” but you can listen for yourself and decide below.

While the game’s developer, Epic Games, has yet to confirm that Gaga is going to be added to the game, that song definitely sounds like her iconic hit. And this collaboration would make sense for the game, which has a history of similar music partnerships, including hosting in-game concerts with artists like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.

Players will have to wait until next week when the update drops to find out for sure, but it hasn’t stopped the theorizing in the meantime. A photo also shared by FNLeaksAndInfo shows a hand reaching out of what appears to be liquid chrome. As fans point out, that aesthetic is one that was used in Gaga’s Chromatica album.

While Gaga’s inclusion in the game would be amazing, it would also be pretty ironic as the singer once turned to Twitter to find out what the game even is. “What’s fortnight?” she tweeted in 2019. Some shook their heads in the comments, while others suggested they squad up and play. Either way, with this latest leak it seems like Gaga got her answer and we may be getting an iconic team up soon.
