YouTubers React to Grindr Racism...and It Isn't Pretty
It's no secret that the gay community often has a problem with race, and never has that been more evident than with the dating/hook-up app Grindr, where a lot of every day racism occurs.
Popular out YouTuber Davey Wavey enlisted the help of other popular gay YouTubers (and men of color) Kingsley and Todrick Hall to make a new video that showcases the reactions to some of the racist messages that get sent via the infamous dating app, and the results were definitely cringe-worthy at best.
"Goodbye!" Kingsley said after reading one man's Grindr profile that read "Vanilla or spice, nor chocolate nor rice..."
"He's not even that cute to be saying that," said Todrick Hall, reacting to a guy who's profile had the message "...Asians prease reave me arone."
Watch Todrick, Kingsley, and other gay men react to racism on Grindr in the video below.
