"How sick is that?" said the creator of the Thanos character. "These are sad and strange times we are going through."

The Trump Campaign is ending 2020 on a baffling note.

A verified Twitter account managed by the official Trump Team campaign posted a video comparing Trump to one of the worst villains of all-time, which seems about right if we're being honest.

"House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want," the tweet reads. "President Trump's re-election is inevitable." The attached video shows Trump's head on Thanos' body and with a single snap, we see Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other democrats dissolving into dust, the same way Thanos committed intergalactic genocide and murdered some of our favorite superheroes in the Avengers movies.

It's quite a Freudian slip that they earnestly make Trump the literal villain of the franchise. On top of that, the footage of the snapping moment they used from Avengers: Endgame is actually when Thanos realizes that Tony Stark snatched the Infinity Stones away from him and snaps Thanos and his entire army out of existence: the exact moment when Thanos...loses.

Hopefully, this is some foreshadowing for what's to come for Trump's reelection campaign.

The irony of the situation wasn't lost on Twitter.

The man that introduced Thanos into the Marvel comic book world, Jim Starlin, even chimed in on the ridiculousness.

"After my initial feeling of being violated, seeing that pompous fool using my creation to stroke his infantile ego, it finally struck me that the leader of my country and the free world actually enjoys comparing himself to a mass murderer," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "How sick is that? These are sad and strange times we are going through. Fortunately, all things, even national nightmares, eventually come to an end."
