Ladyfag officially reigns supreme over queer nightlife in New York City. The nightlife empress has thrown a number of successful parties including Holy Mountain, Battle Hymn, and 11:11, but her biggest party yet, LadyLand festival, proves that she’s queen of nightlife.
The festival was held this past Friday at the new Bushwick venue, Brooklyn Mirage. Thousands of queers were in attendance and the festival had something for each and every one of them. Ladyland had elements of Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, Burning Man, Electric Zoo, and an '80s NYC nightclub all in one!
The lineup featured pop princess Kim Petras, rapper Tommy Genesis, CupcakKe, and electronic artist SOPHIE. Aquaria, the queen predicted to win RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 performed a mashup that included La Roux's "Bulletproof" and a monologue by O-Ren Ishii from Kill Bill. In true Aquaria fashion, she told the audience, "I might be the number one queen in America soon, but I still need your money." And of course, the main headliner was none other that rap goddess Eve!
