More than 310,000 people have signed a Change.org petition asking the Florida assistant state attorney to stop the prosecution of Kaitlyn Hunt, an 18-year-old former cheerleader facing felony child abuse charges after refusing to break up with her younger girlfriend, a classmate and fellow basketball player. LGBT Americans saw Hunt as the victim of a former lover’s homophobic parents.

The roommate of Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi was found guilty of invasion of privacy, and found not guilty of bias intimidation. Because the charges are being identified as hate crimes, Dharun Ravi could face up to 10 years in prison for spying on Clementi with a webcam.

Police say a Las Cruces, N.M., woman beat and sexually assaulted her daughter in an effort to stop her from being a lesbian.

The custody saga continues as "former" lesbian Lisa Miller of Vermont is accused of running away with her seven-year-old daughter, Isabella, to avoid sharing custody with her former partner, Janet Jenkins. A Bedford County judge has decided not to press charges against Miller. The couple broke up in 2003, and Miller became an evangelical Christian and soon after, "renounced" her homosexuality. 

A high school teacher from Edgewood High School in Trenton, Ohio, Lori Epperson, resigned after getting caught escorting four of her students and Cougar cheerleaders --her daughter among them-- to Club Masque a gay bar in town, where the girls became intoxicated.

A conservative running for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates admitted that she had an affair with a female student back when she was a junior high school gym teacher in the 1970s. Linda Wall told the Associated Press that she was a different person 40 years ago when she had sexual relations with the unidentified student, who was a minor at the time. In 2006, she admitted under oath that she had been involved with a minor during a defamation hearing.

A teenage lesbian couple in the Philadelphia area, who cops have nicknamed Thelma and Louise, just finished a two-month crime spree that ended, according to the New York Daily News, when the duo encountered a lion’s lair.

The Vonore, Tennessee lesbian couple who filed a lawsuit in February claiming a former neighbor set fire to their home in September of 2010, Carol Ann and Laura Stutte, are being accused of setting the fire by their insurance company.

A family court judge in Vermont issued a warrant for the arrest of "former" lesbian Lisa Miller Tuesday who disappeared with her 7-year-old daughter she once shared with her former partner, Janet Jenkins. Judge William Cohen of Rutland County ruled that Miller was in contempt of the Vermont court for failing to turn over custody of daughter, Isabella, to Jenkins.

I feel sorry for Kaitlyn Hunt, the Florida high-school senior who was arrested February 16, charged with sexual battery of a minor and later expelled from her school for having a sexual relationship with a younger girl.
