That said, trans lesbian Melody Maia Monet reached out to fellow YouTuber, Arielle Scarcella, to make a video she hoped would "demystify the transgender condition for the public by allowing a very rare and literal peek under the covers."
Throughout the very intimate discussion, Monet answers questions about her vaginoplasty, the healing process, orgasms and more.
In her interview with Huffington Post, Monet commented on the potentially problematic nature of the video.
Arielle and I had an understanding that if anything made me uncomfortable, I didn't have to do it. [...] The implication was that these were special circumstances and normally wouldn't be a good idea to ask of other transgender people.
