Ninety-five years ago today, the right for a woman to vote became legal in the United States with the ratification of the 19th Amendment. August 26th has now been nationally dubbed Women's Equality Day.
Men and women have been taking to social media to show support for the holiday, but also to remind us all that there's still progress to be made. The Equal Rights Amendment, for example, passed in the House and Senate years ago, but still has not been ratified by the requisite number of states.
The hashtags #ERANow and #WomensEqualityDay are trending in response to this, and some of the tweets and photos of people posing as Rosie the Riveter are truly epic. Here are some of our faves.
