It’s hard enough to find a gay girl on TV as it is, but it looks like it could soon get worse. The reason? NBC’s The Playboy Club, complete with a lesbian bunny, is in peril, according to the Wrap.
Maligned by critics, the NBC drama is also faring poorly with viewers. To be a Debbie Downer, a show like Grey’s Anatomy, with its bisexual Callie, is long in the tooth and won’t be around much longer. Thank goodness we have The Good Wife, though bisexual Kalinda is sort of hateful now (she slept with the protagonist’s husband).
So, we may have to look to shows like Prime Suspect, which doesn’t feature a lesbian character, only a hot, butchy one (thank you, Maria Bello). But, wait, that show isn’t doing too well, either, writes The Wrap. It may be time to dust off those South of Nowhere DVDs.
