Sara Rue will write and star in Poseurs, a new sitcom for the CW with a Bosom Buddies slant- she poses as gay and in a domestic partnership with her best gal pal to keep her fancy Manhattan apartment.
Rue, the seasoned sitcom actress and Jenny Craig spokesperson, will lead the series as Lucy. The Hollywood Reporter says the premise is, "a young woman whose life is upended when her fiancée moves out and her fresh-from-rehab collegiate best friend Alexandra moves in. In order to maintain her swanky New York co-op, which doesn't technically allow for roommates, Lucy and Alex enter into a mutually beneficial domestic partnership - complete with all of the challenges and few of the perks."
Rue will also serve as co-executive producer of the project.
