Director Cheryl Dunye’s latest film Mommy is Coming, currently screening at Berlinale, is an irreverent, sexy and lighthearted look into Berlin’s lesbian porn world, featuring adult film stars.

Dunye, who rocked the queer film world with her The Watermelon Woman, her 1996 mockumentary-style look into race in old Hollywood recently had a festival darling with 2010’s The Owls, a self-reflective study on independent lesbian cinema. But while The Owls, which starred Dunye and Go Fish’s Guinevere Turner and V.S. Brody was an overtly somber chamber piece, Mommy is Coming promises to showcases Dunye’s flair for humor, according to Screen Daily.

Part sex romp / part screwball comedy Mommy is Coming stars Lil Harlow, Papi Coxx, Dunye and Jiz Lee, among others.
