Beyonce's Video A Hit With the Single Babies

It looks like Beyoncé’s sexy, glamorous, booty-shaking video, “Single Ladies,” (or "Single Lezzies")  isn’t just for the big kids anymore. The song will get all the single lesbian ladies to the dance floor, but the video might just be more entertaining than shaking it with the girls.

It looks like Beyoncé’s sexy, glamorous, booty-shaking video, “Single Ladies,” isn’t just for the big kids anymore.

According to Time magazine, people have started to notice a trend that this video in particular is extremely popular among babies.  That’s right.  Judging by the plethora of YouTube videos of little kids getting down with Beyoncé and her two flanking females, infants and toddlers are absolutely fascinated by the music video and often try to dance  along:

The parents of this 13-month-old boy say he can’t even walk, but that’s not going to stop him from dancing!

While many parents remain in shock that their little tots are bopping along to three outrageously sexy women in leotards, child experts are not too surprised, saying that the video is “very Teletubbies.” “Young children love songs with good rhythm and repetition, and 'Single Ladies' certainly has both,” says Kara Shall, the communications director of Baby Loves Disco.  The Times article explains:

“Like some rogue Baby Einstein offering, the black-and-white "Single Ladies" video provides visual and aural stimulation well suited for the under-2 crowd. Babies love high-contrast colors, steady beats and smiling women's faces.”

Hot girls, catchy beats, and color contrast?  I think babies and lesbians just found something in common.  In the words of my friend Jordan, “If they like it they should put a teething ring on it.”
