The original Idol Kelly Clarkson has pulled out of her stint touring with Lilith Fair, according to the Toronto Sun.
The Sarah McLachlan-led all female tour has hit a few bumps in the road, including canceling 10 shows due to poor ticket sales and Norah Jones bagging on a few of her scheduled dates, but Kelly’s last-minute cancellation could prove to be the most deleterious of all.
Kelly said she’s bagging on Lilith so that she can complete work on her upcoming studio album, according to the Sun.
While Lilith 2010 has had its share of challenges headliners including Sarah, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn are sticking with the show, and some dates are selling very well, says the Sun.
