Céline Dion Puts to Rest Rumors That She's Dating Back-up Dancer

The two have been seen in public and are of opposite genders, so they must be together!

Céline Dion is shutting down rumors that she’s dating one of her back-up dancers.

The superstar singer and dancer Pepe Muñoz were spotted all over Paris fashion week together, and because the heteros can’t help themselves, they obviously assumed that a man and a woman spending time together must be in a relationship.

“Pepe is gay,” Dion told Extra. “At first, I think some people did not know that.”

The two have been best friends for a couple years, and thus the subject of rumors, ever since Dion lost her husband to throat cancer in 2016.

“The thing is that he’s my best friend and he did so much for me and even just holding my hand… it’s something that I haven’t had for a long time,” she said. “He did so much for me, for my mental health, my spirituality, my inner strength.”

Dion has not been romantically linked to anyone since her husband died, and gave an interview earlier this year affirming that she’s single.

“Yeah, there’s another man in my life but not the man in my life,” she said of Muñoz at the time. “We’re friends, we’re best friends.”

So there you have it. Men and women can be friends, sometimes holding hands is platonic, and Céline Dion is not dating her gay BFF.
