'Atypical' Star Brigette Lundy-Paine Comes Out as Nonbinary

Brigette Lundy-Paine, the star of Netflix's hit sitcom Atypical, came out as nonbinary on Instagram. 

"I’m nonbinary, always felt a lil bit boy, lil bit girl, lil bit neither," they wrote. "Using they/them as of late n it feels right. scary af to come out n been rly putting this off. But I feel I owe it to myself and to all of us who struggle w gender."

The actor previously came out as queer in 2018. PRIDE sat down with Lundy-Paine and their costar Fivel Stewart just ahead of the season 3 premiere, where they shared that they use they/them pronouns. 

"u r beautiful and u r whole," Lundy-Paine wrote to their fans. "thank u guys ily."

Lundy-Paine joins other stars who have recently come out as nonbinary, including John Wick 3 star Asia Kate DillonThe Politician’s Theo Germaine, and singer Sam Smith.
