Don't look like a chump — elevate your look at your local Pride festival this summer

Hey Tomboys! Los Angeles Pride is here and cities all around the world are gearing up to celebrate Pride month. The season’s got me thinking about the few essentials you need to have for your Pride day experience.

First off let me just say that I have never been one to deck myself out in head to toe rainbow for Pride. For better or worse, I have always chosen the subtle, “I’m Proud to be A Lesbian Watching This Parade” by rocking my best broken-in t-shirt and freshly minted butch haircut. But I can understand how rainbow love is desired — so if, like me, you prefer to add a subtle splash or if you choose to wear all the rainbow all the time; I wanted to introduce you some of my personal favorites for Pride gear.

First up on deck is a relationship not quite as old as the flannel and the butch, but just as important: the CHUCK & The Butch. This Etsy store creates tasteful custom rainbow Chucks that will have you walking on rainbow rays of sunshine:

Next up, this WILDFANG Band of Thieves Tank that lets everyone know “it takes a village to raise a little hell.” Sounds like a Happy Pride to me!:

These rainbow slap-bracelets make me nostalgic and also want to sing for joy i.e. some Iggy Azalea with a craft brew in hand:

Next up we have badass custom made flasks by small business entrepreneur Ashten Houpt! She is the nicest you guys! She will be selling at L.A. Pride, S.F. Pride, Chicago Pride, and Indianapolis Pride. Or you can peruse her offerings and order yours at Get Flasky.

Lastly, these wide striped rainbow Happy Pride Socks from Happy Socks are the cutest things ever.

Now that we’re dressed to impress in PRIDE swag, what Pride essentials do you have on your list? Let me know in the comments! Happy Pride!
