7 of the Best Candidates for Captain America's Boyfriend
Which eligible super bachelor would make the best boyfriend to the boy in blue?
So you may have heard about the little Twitter campaign to #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend. Well, that was quickly overshadowed by the reveal that Captain America has, in fact, been a secret agent for HYRDA (yes, the same evil HYRDA we've seen in all those movies). While the pop culture world is reeling over the news, we still think Cap deserves a solid love interest, even in spite of his double-crossing proclivities.
And while we doubt (and don't even really care if) Cap goes gay, it's fun to speculate about possible boyfriends for America's most patriotic superhero. (And yes, we're mixing Fox Marvel with Disney Marvel and even DC, but it's all purely in the name of shipping.)
1. The Kinkster — Bruce Wayne/Batman
Batman/Bruce Wayne would make a great yin to Captain America/Steve Roger's yang. Light and dark, golden boy and dark knight. And we bet Bruce has at least a few deep, dark, kinky secrets down in that Batcave.
2. The Daddy — Charles Xavier/Professor X
Don't let his wheelchair fool you — Professor X can read your mind, getting to know your deepest, darkest fantasies. We bet he could curl the toes of the oh-so-squeaky-clean Cap any day.
3. The Bad Boy — Logan/Wolverine
If Steve is looking for a rough-and-tumble relationship with some passionate (and probably dangerous) sex, Wolverine is his guy! Plus, clean-cut Cap would look so cute with hairy, burly Logan, right?
4. The Playboy — Tony Stark/Iron Man
Sure, they beat the crap out of each other in Civil War, but that just means the make-up sex is going to be super intense. These two are certainly opposite sides of the same coin, but sometimes that makes for the best relationships.
5. The Comedian — Scott Lang/Ant-Man
Scott Lang is a little goofy, a little geeky. He'd make the perfect counterpart to Steve's All-American-Boy persona, always giving him a reason to smile and stop taking himself so seriously.

6. The Boy Next Door — Clark Kent/Superman
The only other superhero as patriotic as Captain America would probably be Superman. These two could practically share clothes (they have similar color schemes, not to mention pec sizes). This would be the power couple to end all power couples (sorry Jay and Bey).
7. The Lover — Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier
This is a given. Tumblr can barely contain all the slashart and slashfic dedicated to this couple. Steve and Bucky are meant to be, the quintessential romantic couple. Childhood friends, turned mortal enemies, turned friends again, turned...lovers...? We can imagine!
