Margot Robbie Is Dying For A Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy Romance, Too
She’s not sure yet who would play Ivy, but we have some ideas.
If there’s one thing we all have in common with actress Margot Robbie, it’s that we’re thirsting for a live-action Harlivy romance.
Speaking with Comicbook.com, Robbie opened up about just how much she’d love to see a hookup between two of Batman’s top nemeses happen. “I have been pushing for that for years. I cannot tell you how hard I’ve been pushing for that. I want it too,” Robbie told the publication about her desire to see that love story brought to the live-action screen.
As for who Robbie would like to play opposite, well she’s not quite so sure. “Honestly, when I pictured, I always picture like Poison Ivy in the comics. I don’t really actually picture an actress doing it, but I agree, that would be so good.”
One thing she is sure of, though, is her enthusiasm to see Lady Gaga taking on the Harley Quinn role in the Joker sequel, Joker: Folie A Deux opposite Joaquin Phoenix.

“It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning that all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way Macbeth or Batman, always gets passed from great actor to great actor,” Robbie told MTV News. “It’s kind of like someone gets to do their Batman, or someone gets to do their Macbeth. I feel like, in not so many cases, are they female characters — Queen Elizabeth I, but beyond that, which I got to have a crack out as well, which I was honored to do. I was like, ‘Wow! Cate Blanchett did Queen Elizabeth I. Now I get to.’ It’s such an honor to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing. And I think she’ll do something incredible with it.”While Robbie may not have an idea of who she’d like to see her Harley Quinn get loved up with as Ivy, we definitely have some ideas. Dear Hollywood, any of these incredible actors playing Harley’s love interest would make our queer hearts explode.
