DC is introducing a new trans hero to its line-up!

The upcoming comic Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate #1 follows the creation of new villains created by the “Lazarus storm,” and follows the “heroes who stand ready to stop them from doing harm to others.”

The issue will also introduce fans to a hero by the name of Jules Jourdain, who also goes by the moniker Circuit Breaker.

According to writer and artist A.L. Kaplan, Jules goes by he/they pronouns and is a “trans man, but not super into the binary.”

While many details are still under wraps, Jules’ is said to have some sort of connection with the Still Force, a cosmic force that allows anyone able to tap into it to negate motion.

“Can a new hero channel the inexorable Still Force energy to fend off evil?” the comic’s description inquires.

Comic fans are already hyping up the character’s appearance in anticipation of the release.

DC editor Andrea Shea added that Circuit Breaker “is gonna be your new favorite character,” praising Kaplan for “[breathing] life into Jules Jourdain’s first adventure,” and amping fans up even more for the comic — which hits shelves February 14.
