Troye Sivan's debut album, Blue Neighbourhood, and its dramatic trilogy of music videos struck a chord with fans around the world, so much so that it was even nominated for a Breakthrough Long Form Video at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The music videos follow a teenage boy falling for another boy, and how their friends and family accept them. The experience is very emotional for the teens, and Sivan watching their firsthand reactions is beyond touching.
"Its crazy," he begins. "It refires me up. Seeing people who don't know that I'm watching them have real honest reactions to stuff, to something I've made and care about so much is so crazy."
Troye goes on to chat about his new film Boy Erased, a film exploring the effects of conversion therapy on young teens.
