Lady Gaga, a tireless advocate of LGBT rights, performed a special tribute to Jamey Rodemeyer, the young fan who tragically took his own life after suffering homophobic bullying and harassment.
Gaga was in Las Vegas to close the huge iHeartRadio music festival, and she played a special stripped down version of, "Hair," one of her many songs encouraging individuality, dedicated to Rodemeyer.
"We lost a little monster this week and i wanted to dedicate this song to him tonight," Gaga said before launching into the slowed-down version of her track.
Gaga was Rodemeyer's idol.
Mother Monster said, "Jamey, I know you're up there looking on us, and you're not a victim, you're a lesson to all of us," and later shouted out, "Bullying is for losers."
Rodemeyer was only 14-years-old when he committed suicide, following online bullying and taunts in the form of gay slurs for over a year.
