33-year-old, Olympic figure skater Eric Radford made history this weekend with his gold-winning performance to Adele's "Hometown Glory" with partner Meagan Duhamel. 
The Canadian is the first openly gay man to win a gold medal in the Winter Olympics.

"This is amazing!" he tweeted. "I literally feel like I might explode with pride. #Olympics #outandproud."
Radford took a celebratory photo with Adam Rippon, another openly gay figure skater, who won his own bronze model this past weekend. "So proud that @Adaripp and I get to wear these medals and show the world what we can do! #represent"

25-year-old Algerian boxer Imane Khelif isn't just an Olympic gold medalist, she's also now an international hero. Not only did she punch a cop so hard she quit boxing, she is now the only person to ever successfully get J.K. Rowling to shut up. After the match  between Khelif and 25-year-old Italian boxer Angela Carini where Carini quit the bout after just 46 seconds, ending the match without shaking Khelif's hand while still actively crying, some people rose to speculate that it's because Khelif is secretly a man or a transgender woman, including J.K. Rowling.
Big mistake... huge.

Update: Today, Imane’s Khelif’s lawyer, Nabil Boudi, posted a press release to X announcing that the Paris Public Prosecutor’s office has officially opened a preliminary investigation into the online hate the boxer received. The investigation includes looking into charges of “aggravated harassment based on gender, public insult because of gender, public insult because of gender,” and “public insult because of origin.”
Winning a medal at the Olympics is the pinnacle of athletic achievement, but what should have been a triumphant moment for Algerian boxer Imane Khelif after she won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics was soured by bad-faith barbs from famous billionaires claiming that she was secretly a man or transgender.

We just wrapped up a pretty epic and very queer Olympic run, full of everything from drag queens pissing off Christians to some of the sexiest moments of 2024.
The next round of the Olympics in 2028 is slated to head to Los Angeles, and everyone in Hollywood has already started prepping for what’s already bound to be an epic show.
