Lauren Graham to Star as Female Late-Night Host in New Ellen DeGeneres-Produced Sitcom

Female late-night hosts are certainly a rarity, but when there's a deficiency so glaring they have to make an entire TV show about it, that's when we've real problem. However, Ellen DeGeneres, NBC, and Lauren Graham are finding a silver lining to this issue with Kate On Top, a sitcom about a woman who finds herself in this coveted position and facing all of the challenges that come with it.

Graham, whose current NBC show Parenthood is just about to finish its six-season run, will star, co-write, and co-executive produce alongside Ellen DeGeneres' company A Very Good Production. Liz Tuccillo will also co-write and co-produce. A new nearly entirely lady-helmed sitcom is definitely something we're thrilled to get on board with, and we're just as excited for a real life female late-night host on a major program one day! We just might have to wait a little bit longer...
