5 Times the Women in Hillary Clinton's Marriage Equality Video Made Us Reach for the Tissue Box

We're still wiping away the tears...

Since Hillary Clinton released her campaign video yesterday called "Equal," I have watched it exactly 43.6 times. The effect can be quantified in number of kleenexes I've gone through. Here are some standout moments from the spot.

5.

The palm trees in the background, the fuzzy street lights, the glasses of (what I hope are) wine, all set the scene for our first lesbian-couple-in-Hillary's-ad-who-made-me-cry. I just love the way the one leans so casually and comfortably against her lady.

4.

What's not to love about this intercultural couple? As you keep watching the ad, you get to see more scenes of their wedding. The joy of the brides and the guests is palpable. I only hope my wedding is filled with that much love.

3.

Graininess and pixelation do nothing to diminish the holy crap we finally got married emotion as it comes pouring out of the screen and straight into my heart. Can I please be adopted by this awesome older couple?

2.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch this video several times specifically to try to read the tattoo on one of these brides ("life won't wait," by the way). Each time, though, my favorite part was their first kiss as wife and wife.

1.

Look at that baby. Just look at it. It is winking at me and making a great argument for why I should consider having kids. This happy family comes at the end of the video, so by now I am a blubbering mess. I should get a handle on myself. Anyone have tissue?

Can't get enough? Here's the video in full:
