WATCH: Israel's Lesbian Penguin Couple Takes Next Step in Their Relationship

The lesbian penguin couple we reported on previously have taken their relationship to the next level!

Back in December we reported that two female penguins had become a full-on couple at Israel’s Ramat Gan Safari park. The penguins, Suki and Chupchikoni, chose each other as mates even though there were eligible male penguins they could have picked, according to Haaretz.com.

At the time of the first story the pair had not burrowed together, but according to an NBC report, Suki and Chupchikoni have taken the next step in their relationship – trying to mate and building a nest for a baby penguin.
