Since its inception, Here TV has remained at the forefront of gay and lesbian programming with signature shows including Dante's Cove, The Lair and Face to Face, and documentary specials including 30 Years From Here, and The Ribbon of Hope Celebration. In celebration of its decennial, Here TV plans to continue this proud tradition with the launch of the New Frontiers Film Project.
The organizers of the project are dedicated to finding fresh and inventive LGBT artists around the country and the world, who would like to share their film and TV projects, personal stories and inspiring experiences with the larger community.
Here TV plans to air its selected submissions throughout 2013 across all of its cable and web platforms including on television, on demand, HereTV online, and through any of its online partners including Hulu, YouTube, Amazon, iTunes, and Blockbuster.
“We are eternally indebted to the LGBT creative community and to the brave distributors who have partnered with us over the years to have our stories seen and heard,” said Josh Rosenzweig, Here TV’s Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development.
Here TV serves as a nationwide platform for LGBT television and film projects, and remains the only outlet truly dedicated to showcasing LGBT filmmakers, artists, and performers, who are always encouraged to release their work in its original, uncensored format.
“We are proud of the work Here TV has done in showcasing the work of LGBT filmmakers, and we look forward to the next decade of bringing unapologetically gay programming to audiences across the country and around the world,” said Paul Colichman, Here TV’s CEO, and Stephen P. Jarchow, Here TV’s Chairman, in a joint statement.
