Are We Entering the Age of the Queer Comic?

Daniel Franzese of Mean Girls fame headlined The Burbank Comedy festival earlier this month, topping off a weekend of 200 of the brightest up-and-coming comedy stars. In this video, he sits down with fellow gay comic Nicky Paris and expresses that we are on the "dawning of the age of the queer comic."

Nicky shares with festival producer Chelsea Mitchell and Flapper's staff member Kelsey Lane, "there really has never been a gay male breakout star yet." But that might not be the case for long with the festival putting so many LGBTQ comics in the spotlight.
