Comedian Roasted the CATS Movie So Hard He Got Suspended from Twitter

Jaboukie Young-White is right! The new trailer is a bit... horrifying.

If you thought a live-action remake of The Lion King was unnecessary, just wait until you see the trailer for the 1980s-musical-turned-1998-movie, CATS. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, Rebel Wilson, James Cordon, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo, Ian McKellen, and more make appearances in the film's first trailer and it's safe to say that the cat-sized people with digital fur look like an absolute nightmare. 

Soon after the trailer's release, the internet promptly began roasting the animation over an open fire. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Comedian Jaboukie Young-White took it a step further. He actually changed his username and avatar to CATS, which looked rather convincing with his blue checkmark, then tweeted this:

 

 

The joke racked up over 10,000 retweets before Young-White's account was promptly suspended. The outcry came far and loud: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thankfully, the cat gods restored Young-White's account this morning, with his username and profile image reverted:
