Ellen DeGeneres Telling Barack Obama 'You Changed My Life' Has Us in Tears

Ellen thanks the Obamas for all of they've done, including how Barack's movement forward on LGBT life has personally affected her.

Donald Trump is officially the 45th President of the United States, and while there will be plenty of time to contemplate and resist that, we wanted to join with Ellen DeGeneres in remembering the Obamas and their contributions to the country.

Prior to running a montage of clips of Barack’s and Michelle Obama’s several, often hilarious trips to Ellen’s show, she offered these words of thanks to Barack Obama.

“I want to personally thank him for changing my life. I am a legally married woman because of him, and so is my wife,” Ellen said. “His courage and compassion created equality for everyone. He moved us forward and made more happen in the past eight years than I ever dreamed possible. I love him. I love Michelle.”

If you need a good laugh, watch Michelle challenge Ellen to a push-up contest and shop with her at CVS. And if you want to tear up a little, you can see Ellen thank Barack face-to-face for his work on LGBT rights.
