Ellen DeGeneres is apparently fleeing the country in anticipation of Donald Trump's second term as president of the United States.
According to The Wrap, DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, purchased property in England and are putting their home in Montecito, Calif., up for sale. The two had only owned the property — one of several they own in the state — since 2019.

Ellen DeGeneres is returning to the stage nearly two years after her talk show came to an end, and it's clear that she's not happy about how it all went down.
"Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business," she told an audience during her stand-up show at the Largo in Los Angeles this week, according to Rolling Stone. "There's no mean people in show business."

Kelly Clarkson will take over Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show time slot in 2022 with The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The news comes weeks after DeGeneres announced the conclusion of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which will end after a 19-year run. While she claimed the show wasn't "challenging" for her anymore, the 63-year-old host has come under fire in the last year because of accusations of toxic working conditions. When its 19th season premiered last fall, the Emmy-Award-winning series took a severe hit in the ratings department as a result.
