“The 2 loves of my life."

Meteorologist Joey Krastel has always loved chasing storms, but now he's chasing the craziest whirlwind of all: marriage.

Krastel dropped to his knees in front of a "tornado emergency" in Tipton, Kansas to propose to his boyfriend, Chris Scott. He said yes, and Krastel tweeted an image from the proposal to celebrate. "The 2 loves of my life," he captioned the photo, which now has over 12,000 likes.

A big fan of the 1996 film Twister, Scott slid into Kristel's DMs with, "Hey, do you actually chase tornadoes?"

"That’s why it was always in the back of my mind to get engaged during storm chasing," said Krastel, Out reports. "I felt like it would be this perfect way to seal the deal."

It seems like Krastel was so happy Scott said yes, he had to be reminded how dangerous that picture perfect tornado could be.

"I called to my friends to get back in the car," Krastel said. "I was just so emotional just because it was my happiest place, being with him next to the storms."

Congrats Joey and Chris!
