Want to See Deadpool Host "SNL"? There's a Petition For That.

It's only natural that with the massive success of Deadpool in the week since its premiere, fans are hungry for more.

Luckily, it's already a guarantee that fans will get just that. With a sequel already in the works, we can rest easy knowing we'll have more of the maroon-clad mercenary.

However, it seems some fans cannot wait for the sequel, and have devised an interesting strategy for getting Deadpool back on their screens much sooner.

A Change.org petition started by fan Andrew Stege has suggested that Deadpool take a turn at the helm of Saturday Night Live.

You read that correctly. Deadpool. Not Ryan Reynolds. Deadpool himself.

The petition is addresed to SNL supreme leader Lorne Michaels, Ryan Reynolds, Saturday Night Live as a whole, and its home network, NBC.

So far the petition has almost 48,000 signatures and counting.

While it might be a long shot to hope for a fictional character to take the lead over at SNL, we can't say we don't love the idea. Sign us up.
