Carrie Prejean is being sued for nearly $65,000 by her PR firm.
The 22-year-old Miss California USA 2009 and Miss USA 2009 first runner-up owes the public relations firm funds for helping her during her time of desperate need. She owes more than $64,000 to the Christian-focused firm for helping her to spread the word of "traditional" marriage around the country.
According to the Examiner, A. Larry Ross Communications says that the beauty queen contacted them nearly a year ago. The firm then logged hundreds of hours to help Prejean spread her 'biblically correct' message.
The lawsuit, which was filed earlier this month in Texas, claims that the former Miss California received the services that she asked for, but has never written them a check to pay the $64,857 bill.
Is it "biblically correct" to steal, Carrie?
In case you have forgotten, pageant judge Perez Hilton asked her whether she believed every U.S. state should legalize same-sex marriage. Prejean responded, " Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And, you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman."
