While the fate of the full fifth season of Glee remains a bit up in the air, some juicy details have recently emerged about everyone's favorite lesbian former Cheerio-turned Big Apple "Girl On Fire," Santana Lopez.

Pop darling Demi Lovato is slated to play Santana's love interest in an upcoming episode, Naya Rivera told E! on Monday.

"I found out on Twitter! I guess that's just how things break," Rivera told E!, laughing. "I'm excited. I'm so excited to work with her. We have a duet together, and we're going to be working very closely, so it'll be awesome."

Lovato seems to be equally thrilled to dust off her acting chops, though she'll also team up with the vocal powerhouse that is Santana for a rendition of "Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles, according to E!

Taking to Twitter, The X-Factor judge said she's "Wayyyyy too excited to be starting @GLEE this week!!!!!!! Asjfkdjshdk."

Lovato kept up the excitement with another tweet on Monday: "I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends.."

What do you want to see go down between these two belting powerhouse vixens?
