Girl In A Coma Debuts New Video For 'Smart'

Girl in a Coma just released their new video for “Smart,” a track off Exits and All the Rest, their latest album. For this new video, the girls wanted the look and feel of their favorite 80s music videos. Filmed in San Antonio, TX, the band’s hometown, the video "really captures the whole new-wave vibe the song itself has. Watching it made me feel very nostalgic, almost as if I already miss these days of being in a band," Nina told Rolling Stone.

Girl in a Coma, the all-girl rock trio from San Antonio, just released their new video for “Smart,” a track off Exits & All the Rest, their latest album. The band, which took their name from the Smiths’ song “Girlfriend in a Coma,” gets back to their 80s vibe and most revered inspirations in this video directed by Jim Mendiola.

Girl in a Coma has three members: the Diaz sisters Nina (vocals/guitar) and Phanie (drums), and their long-time friend Jenn Alva (bass). Both Phanie and Jenn are out lesbians.
