The Women of The SAG Awards Wow: Naya Rivera, Amber Heard, Angelina Jolie and more... Photos

Awards season is in full swing and Sunday the members of the Screen Actors Guild paid homage to - what else? - themselves at the SAG awards. A few of the usual suspects landed the “actor” statue while the SAGS produced a couple of upsets in an awards’ season that has thus far been pretty lackluster. Regardless of who won or lost, plenty of women looked stunning on the red carpet and / or picking up their awards. Here are several of SheWired’s favorite actresses including Viola Davis, Sofia Vergara, Naya Rivera, Michelle Williams, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, bisexual Amber Heard, lesbian Jane Lynch and more.

The cast of The Help won big with Octavia Spencer landing the award for performance by a female actor in a featured role, Viola Davis winning best actress over her friend Meryl Streep and the cast of the help winning for best ensemble.
On the television front an absent Kate Winslet landed the actor for her performance of Herculean proportions in Mildred Pierce, Jessica Lange won for her southern gothic performance in American Horror Story and TV legend Betty White for best actress in a comedy for Hot in Cleveland.
There was also a tribute to comedian, serious actor and animal rights and juvenile diabetes advocate Mary Tyler Moore, whose proto-feminist landmark sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show depicted a single woman making it on her own in the early 1970’s.
