Here for it.

The internet can never seem to get enough of videos of celebrities saying “gay rights.” It’s one of those simple but super catchy trends that honestly may never die.

The latest initiate into the laundry list of celebs who’ve acquiesced to the request is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenny.

“Gay rights?” he asks in the now-viral video. “Gay motherfuckin’ rights!”

McElhenny, who also created and co-developed It’s Always Sunny, stars as Mac in the long-running sitcom. If you don’t watch the show, Mac spent 12 seasons as a presumably straight man, with his friends gradually picking up on clues that maybe that wasn’t exactly the case.

His sexuality became somewhat of a joke on the show, as Mac was always the super conservative, Christian, and basically homophobic member of the group. This made it all the more shocking to both fans and other characters on the show when Mac finally casually but definitively came out as gay at the end of season 12.

McElhenny himself is married to co-star Kaitlin Olsen, who can be seen briefly at the end of the clip in the background.

Naturally, Twitter had plenty to say about the actor’s viral shout out to the LGBTQ community.

McElhenny’s mother came out as a lesbian when he was a young child, and he has two brothers that are gay, so it’s no surprise that yeah, he motherfuckin’ supports gay rights. But it’s still always nice to hear!
