The Lord of the Rings prequel series The Rings of Power has been a big hit for Amazon Prime Video, and fans couldn’t be more excited about getting new LOTR content in 2022.

Based on the novels by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Rings of Power is set thousands of years before the events that took place on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogies. Overall, the show follows what is known as the “Second Age” of Middle-earth: the rise of Sauron, the creation of the Rings of Power, and the forging of the alliance between men and Elves.

One of the breakout stars on The Rings of Power is Puerto Rican actor Ismael Cruz Cordova, who plays Arondir. The character is a Silvan Elf who falls in love with a human, Bronwyn (played by Nazanin Boniadi). However, their love story is obviously forbidden, which leads to quite a few obstacles between them.

Prior to landing his role on The Rings of Power, Cordova was best known for appearing on The Undoing, Berlin Station, In the Blood, Mary Queen of Scots, Miss Bala, and Ray Donovan. Kids might also recognize him for playing Mando on Sesame Street.

Cordova has delivered a great performance on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – leading him to become a staple in the overall LOTR franchise.
