Dear LGBTQ Youth: We Are Here For You

We are fighters, we don't back down, and we know we deserve every good thing the world offers. For those who are young, for those who haven't seen that yet, for those of you who are looking around at this new nation in fear, confusion, and uncertainty—we are all here together, and we are here for you. However you feel—it's completely valid. Feel everything you need to, but don't lose hope. Don't give up. And if you need to speak with someone, please consider these crisis hotlines:

This is going to be the hardest time of our lives, for many of us, but there are ways to reach out. Find opportunities to volunteer in your area. Sign up for an orientation with the Trevor Project. Consider using a private window for your research if you need to, it won't save your history in case people in your life check it. Talk to people you trust. And above all, put as much love into the world as you can. We're heading into the weekend now, which might bring isolation for those who find comfort in their school or work communities, or a reprieve for those who don't. No matter what, even when it feels like it, you are not alone. Here, we're sharing some incredible words of inspiration and personal stories from friends in the LGBT community and our allies, urging you to keep going in the face of our new future.
