Modern families come in all shapes, sizes and sexual orientations and it seems the rest of the world is starting to recognize that fact. Matalan, a British clothing company not only recognized this fact but capitalized on it in its most recent ad campaign. The ad features several LGBT couples and single parents all representing the melting pot of families that make up the current familial landscape. The lesbian moms featured, Helen and Karen have been together for 13 years and have both a son and a daughter. They expressed to BuzzFeed, "We just want the best for our amazing kids and thought it’s about time to actually be proud of who we are and try and challenge some of the stereotypes that people have."
