WATCH: Meet the N.J. Waitress Who Was Stiffed on a Tip for Looking Like a Lesbian

Dayna Morales, a N.J. waitress who was left a discriminatory note in place of a tip, responds to the situation in a TV news report. Though the customer remains a bigot, Morales' reaction is an example of taking the high road.

Dayna Morales, a former Marine and a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J., waited on a family with their two kids. Rather than tip their server, especially after a whopping $93 bill, the mother left Dayna an outrageous note that read, “I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I don’t agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life,” according to the receipt Dayna posted on Have a Gay Day’s Facebook page.

“I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free,” Dayna wrote on Have a Gay Day. “Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again.”

According to Newsmax, Dayna's Facebook post received more than 2,000 comments from people moved by the blatant homophobia exhibited by the rude customer. “You all have put the BIGGEST smile on my face tonight and made me realize that there are more good people in the world than bad,” Dayna wrote on Facebook.

In a TV report by ABC News, Dayna said, "When I read the note, seeing what they said, you know, that they can't tip me because of my lifestyle, I was rather offended, mad. I didn't know how to react to that." According to the video, Morales said she would "serve them like any other customer" if the family were to return to Gallop Asian Bistro.

It turns out that Dayna is openly gay, however, it's not clear that the homophobic parents were not privvy to that information, unless Dayna approaches by saying, "Hi, I'm Dayna. I'll be serving you today, and I like girls."
