Pic of the Day: Alison Bechdel's Fun Home Comes to Life Tonight on Broadway

It's a great day to be a Fun Home fan! The new Broadway musical, based on lesbian cartoonist Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir of the same name, starts previews tonight at the Circle in the Square Theater, and we're already certain this will be one of our new favorite shows of all time. Fun Home proved its powerful, emotional affect on audiences during a successful run at The Public Theater during the 2013-2014 season, and we're confident this soaring show will shine even brighter on Broadway. Seriously, could we have asked for anything more out of Broadway than a musical about LGBT issues with a lesbian main character, written by the fantastic female team of Lisa Kron (book) and Jeanine Tesori (music/lyrics), and that comes from the heart of one of our favorite lesbian artists? Probably not! But Fun Home this real, we are thrilled, and we can't wait to stop by!
