While the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos have subsided over the past week or so, there was one more we were totally anticipating ever since 26-year-old Anthony Carbajal -- who was diagnosed with the disease just the year -- challenged Ellen DeGeneres. Carbajal appeared on Ellen's 12th season premiere Monday to hold her to her promise, and the pair took the challenge together.
During his challege a few weeks ago Anthony said, "Okay, that was probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever done in my life. So, why did I do it?" he asks. "I have been so terrified of ALS my entire life because it runs in my family."
In his emotional video he went on to explain, "My grandmother had it, she was a second mother to me. My mother was diagnosed with it when I was in high school, and five months ago, I was diagnosed at 26 years old."
Anthony appeared on Ellen's show first to discuss how the disease has affected his family. Just try not to tear up while he and Ellen talk.
