WATCH: New Clouds of Sils Maria Trailer Features Kristen Stewart Killing It in Glasses
With the overly dull, white, and male Oscar nominations that came out this morning we could not be more excited for this new trailer for The Clouds of Sils Maria, which stars Juliette Binoche as an aging actress drawn to her smart, sexy young assistant, played by Kristen Stewart. Chloe Grace Moretz a young actress cast to play Binoche’s love in the revival of a play, but this trailer is all about Stewart.
From what we can gather the film has a whole mise en abyme/play-within-a-film thing thing going on as Binoche’s character is unhealthily distraced by Stewart as the assistant while she’s playing a character on stage who falls for Moretz’s on-stage character.
Confused yet by the plot from the wonderful director Olivier Assayas (Something In the Air, Summer Hours)? Just watch Kristen Stewart in glasses and she will make it all better. She even helped us forget about the Oscar noms for a moment.
Clouds of Sils Maria premiered at Cannes last spring and is slated for an April, 10 release.
