Allison Janney Joins 'The Big C's' Roster of Guest Stars

Showtime’s The Big C just keeps nabbing the big talent! The darkly comic show that stars Laura Linney as Cathy, a woman with cancer, has just landed Emmy winner Allison Janney to play a Hollywood producer trying to buy the right’s to Cathy’s and her husband’s life story, according toThe Hollywood Reporter.

Last month it was announced that Susan Sarandon would guest on the hit series as a cancer survivor who uses her experience to inspire and motivate others, THR reported.

Janney is a four-time Emmy winner for The West Wing, starred on Broadway in the role Lily Tomlin originated in the film in 9 to 5: The Musical and played Meryl Streep’s partner in The Hours. 

Out actress and cancer survivor Cynthia Nixon famously guest starred on The Big C's first  season.
