Shocker: Lesbians Like Jane Lynch Not Immune to Male Charm

Or so says out actor Jane Lynch in a new interview with Glamour magazine. Granted, I can't find Jane Lynch's quote on Glamour's site, but AfterEllen, PinkNews, and a number of celebrity gossip sites are all in a tizzy about it, so I suppose we'll continue.

"Let's get one thing out there right away," Lynch reportedly told Glamour. "I have crushes on guys all the time. I'm gay but I'm not immune to the male charm. Russell Brand would be dun. I kissed him full on the lips on Jay Leno's show… Of course he's out of his mind, but I think that might make things quite fun."

We could go back and forth all day about Lynch's taste in men — Brand isn't exactly a tall drink of water, but he is funny and has surprisingly thoughtful moments on a somewhat regular basis.

Of course, the gossip blogs are all "OH EM GEE Jane Lynch totally likes dudes now!"

I'd be willing to bet that's news to Lynch — and her wife of two years, Lara Embry — since many lesbians, and bisexual and queer women can likely recount a time in the not-too-distant past when they — gasp! — found a man vaguely attractive. Doesn't change their orientation one bit. But it might be a testament to the fact that lesbians and gay ladies appreciate an appealing aesthetic just as much as the most fashionable gay boy.
