Tyler Wilson, the 11-year-old cheerleader whose arm was broken by bullies who taunted him for joining the squad, appeared on Good Morning America Wednesday to explain why he plans to keep on cheering.

“It’s been bumpy,” Tyler Wilson said of his return to school. “People are now threatening to break my other arm 'cause I told on them.”

His mother, Kristy Wilson, has filed assault charges against the kids who beat up her son. She supports Tyler’s right to cheer — she even wears a T-shirt that says, “Yes, my son’s a cheerleader — GET OVER IT!”

“I want these boys to understand that regardless of what my son chooses to do, there’s no reason for this,” Kristy Wilson said.
