While Joe Alwyn might be a permanent no-show at Taylor Swift concerts from here on out, another Joe spotted at a show over the weekend had queer fans squealing with delight.
Heartstopper’s Joe Locke attended The Eras Tour in Atlanta on Saturday, confirmed by his own Instagram stories as well as numerous photos taken with fans of the popular Netflix show who surprised to run into one of their faves in the crowd.
The actor was reportedly showered with Taylor-themed bead bracelets from fans who approached him ahead of the concert, which he later proudly showed off on his socials.
Oddly enough, the question of whether or not Locke is a Swiftie has come up in the past, thanks in part due to a video interview between him and fellow Heartstopper actor Kit Connor last year in which he said he had been “avoiding this question for months.”
“I’m ashamed to say that I…I’m not not a fan, I just don’t know enough of her music,” he said at the time. “Although I love folklore as an album. But…it would be a disservice to all Taylor Swift fans to say I was a big Taylor Swift fan. I like her music and I am ashamed that I am not educated enough in her music, and that is something I am going to change.”
Considering his presence at The Eras Tour, it seems likely Locke made good on his promise — and clearly made even more of a positive impression of fans of both his show and Taylor’s music because of it!
