Is she an instant LGBTQ+ icon? YES!

Move over Polteageist! There's a new gay Pokémon icon in town!

As part of the roll-out for the highly-anticipated Switch games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Nintendo just unveiled their newest addition to the Poké kingdom, a fluffy, pastel-colored Galarian version of the Ponyta.

"Galarian Ponyta have been found in a certain forest of the Galar region since ancient times," a description of the newest Pokémon (who IGN reports will be exclusive to the Shield game, sorry Sword players!) from the official Pokémon Twitter account reads.

Because of her bright colorfulness and her uber-cuteness, Galarian Ponyta is already (rightfully) being described as the newest gay icon amongst queer Pokémon stans.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are set for release on November 15 wherever video games are sold!
