A 14 year old Ventura County, CA girl scout recently uploaded a video to YouTube asking for the public to boycott this year’s Girl Scout cookie drive because the group is admitting transgendered boys into their troops nationwide, according to WND.
Rachelle Trujillo, VP for Communications for the group’s Colorado branch explained that “if a child is living as a girl, that’s good enough for us. We don’t require any proof of gender.”
Taylor suggests that the Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA) leaders are behaving in a manner inconsistent with their fundamental teachings of honesty and fairness, and that they are advocating for more adult agendas by providing an unsafe environment for the girls in the troops.
During the nearly 8 minute long video she asks, “Why is GSUSA willing to break their own safety rules and go against its own research institute findings to accommodate transgender boys? Unfortunately, I think it’s because the GSUSA cares more about promoting the desires of a small handful of people than it does for my safety and the safety of my friends and sister Girl Scouts, and they are doing it with money we earned for them from Girl Scout cookies.”
She concludes by asking viewers, fellow scouts and scout supporters to demand a true, all girl experience. She says, “I ask all fellow Girl Scouts to not sell any cookies until GSUSA addresses our concerns. I ask all parents who want their girls to be in a safe environment to tell their leaders why you will not allow your girls to make any more money for GSUSA.”
