Variety indeed with Cate's admission of relationships with women.

It was just yestereday that two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett gifted the world with the news that she'd had relationships with women "many times," and now the cover of the Variety mag in which she uttered those words is out, and she looks fabulous as always. Cate appropriately covers the Cannes issue of Variety as her film, the highly-anticipated Carol, based on Patricia Highsmith's lesbian-themed 1952 novel better known as The Price of Salt, in which an older woman engages in an affair and a subsequent cross-country trip with a younger woman (played by Rooney Mara), debuts at the famed film festival this month.  Out director Todd Haynes directs a cast that includes Sarah Paulson, Carrie Brownstein, and Kyle Chandler. Needless to say, we can't WAIT for the film's Dec. 2015 release. For now, here's Cate looking as though she's been reading lesbian potboilers like the Price of Salt in a ski lodge while sipping hot toddies.
